Two tourism industry companies have teamed up to provide visitors with a seamless wildflower viewing experience in the Mid West region.
The Gerald Apartment Hotel based in Geraldton has partnered with D’Guy Charters in Kalbarri to offer visitors a unique experience when visiting to see the unique wildflowers situated within the region.
“The hotel is offering a Kalbarri Wildflower Package from August to October 2021. This includes accommodation at The Gerald Apartment Hotel from Friday to Sunday while you also get a Kalbarri Wildflower Tour. This involves a guided sightseeing tour, National Park access, a picnic lunch as well as a complimentary pick-up and drop-off from the hotel,” says Gemma Clark, Assistant General Manager for The Gerald Apartment Hotel.
The hotel recently won the Australian Hotels Association (AHA) award for Best Regional Hotel in Western Australia, an achievement well received by the local Geraldton community.
“We have been overwhelmed by all the messages from our community, customers and other stakeholders. The award meant a lot to our team and the hotel, but we also believe in the bigger picture, which is to promote tourism in Geraldton and its surrounding areas,” Clark added.
D’Guy Charters operate out of Kalbarri which is an area known for its fresh seafood and beautiful landscapes. Despite these unique features, the area has gone through a challenging period due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic as well as the cyclone that hit the area earlier this year. The partnership with the hotel is part of a proactive approach to help the tourism industry recover.
Clark emphasized the importance of working together to provide an excellent service to visitors and hence promote the area.
“It was easy to partner with D’Guy Charters as our brands have similar values in terms of excellent service delivery combined with a personal touch. It’s all about building meaningful relationships with our guests and creating an environment which will make their experience unique and memorable.”
Geraldton also offers a wide variety of other things to do such as visiting the famous Abrolhos Islands, cafés, markets, fishing, snorkelling, watersports, museums, and other iconic landmarks. It’s a short and scenic drive four hours north of Perth passing through beautiful towns such as Jurien Bay and Dongara Port Denison.
