What are the check in and check out times?

Check-in from 14:00 to 20:00 & Check-out from 06:30 to 11:00 

An early check in is subject to availability however, we will do our very best to assist with your request.

A late check-out is also subject to availability and additional fees may apply.

Whether you arrive early or have a late flight the day you leave, we are more than happy to store your luggage for you - safely and securely.


What will I need when I check in?

Guests are required to show a valid Government-issued photo identification upon check-in. 

Additionally, a credit card pre-authorisation or refundable cash payment is required as a security bond to cover any incidental expenses (or damages) incurred during your stay. For Classic and/or Deluxe room categories, the amount required is $100.00 ($250.00 during weekends, public holidays, or special periods). For Luxury room categories and the Presidential Suite, the amount required is $500. 


What payment methods are accepted?

The Gerald Apartment Hotel accepts Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Credit card payments are subject to a transaction fee. The current fee for domestic card is 1.75% of the total transaction domestic cards (international cards, 3.5%) – for Visa, Mastercard and American Express. These fees may change and are confirmed at the time a charge is made.


What is your cancellation and amendment policy?

Cancellation and amendment policy depends on the type of rate you have booked, therefore it is best to contact the hotel directly. If bookings are made online, the cancellation policy will be noted at time of booking. If your booking was made through a ‘third party’ such as travel agent, corporate travel manager or other online accommodation booking sites, any amendment or cancellation will need to go through that channel.

Do the rooms at The Gerald have views?

Our hotel rooms offer views of the Geraldton Cathedral as well as city and ocean views. The view you get will depends on the room category you choose to book.


Do you have parking, and what does it cost?

We do have FREE secure parking located on the 1st level of our building, including Electric Vehicle Charging stations and accessible parking. 

There is a height restriction of 2.3 metres. For other vechiles, campervans, motorhomes etc that are over the height limit there is free parking on the street.

Is there a Guest Laundry?

Some of our rooms offer washers and dryers. We also have a guest laundry that includes a washer and dryer. This can be accessed for free by any guest staying at the Gerald.


Is there a gym?

No, there is no gym at the hotel.


Can I smoke in my room?

No, all rooms are 100% smoke-free.


Do you offer special rates for Corporate, Government, Groups or Long Stays?

At the Gerald we offer Government rates, Corporate rates, long stay rates and event and group booking rates. Contact out receptionist or reservations team for more info. 


Are there Accessible Rooms & Facilities at The Gerald?

Yes! We are committed to providing accessible and inclusive accommodation services for all.


Our Wheelchair-Friendly Classic King Studio rooms have all the same comforts as our Classic King Studio but are specially designed to be wheelchair friendly with step-free access, lowered peep holes & door latches, bathroom with fixed grab bars, step-free shower, wall-mounted shower chair and accessible toilet seat.

The Hotel:

  • Designated accessible parking spaces located near the hotel entrance and level 1 car park
  • Accessible routes to all hotel amenities, including entrance & lobby, venues and conference facilities
  • Braille signage and tactile maps for guests with visual impairments
  • Registered service animals welcome throughout the hotel

Is breakfast available at The Gerald?

We do not serve breakfast at The Gerald. However, we are within easy walking distance to local cafes & restaurants. Please see our friendly reception team for directions.


Is there a restaurant or bar at The Gerald?

The Gerald Apartment Hotel is known for it's Eat & Drink venues with the Old Man & The Sea Rooftop Bar and Bob's Boutique Bar both being located on our premises.

These venues have become extremely popular amongst locals in Geraldton and always feature as one of the highlights for guests visiting the area.

Old Man & The Sea is Geraldton’s only rooftop bar, located on Level 3. Old Man & the Sea boasts the best views in the city and offers the best of fresh local produce, cocktails, WA beers and a variety of wines/

Bob’s Boutique Bar is located on the ground floor of The Gerald. Best known for it's extensive drinks list (featuring over 70 gins and a multitude of boutique cocktails) and tapas small plate menu, Bob’s Boutique Bar is certainly worth a visit!

Old Man and The Sea is open Sunday-Thursday 4pm - 10pm, and Friday-Saturday 12pm - 10pm.
